| FAQ Q: Why should I use a pet sitter instead of a boarding kennel? A: Many pets become very stressed when they are in a strange environment. They tend to not eat, loose sleep, become ill from anxiety, urinate/deficate in the cages, and sometimes injure themselves trying to escape. A pet sitter can provide care in your home, where your pet is most comfortable. They will get one on one love and care. For many pets, the sitter becomes and extension of their "pack" or family. Q: What can I expect from this pet sitter? A: You can expect that your animals and home will be cared for in a professional and loving manner. The pet sitter is there to make your household run as smoothly as it would if you were home. You can expect happy pets and a clean house when you arrive home. You can expect to be notified of any problems or concerns as soon as they arise. You can expect to have someone you can count on and trust in the future! Q: I have never used a pet sitter before, how does the process begin? A: You can contact me by phone or by e-mail to request services and information. I will then set up a consult with you and your pets at YOUR house. This allows me to become acquainted with you, the animal(s), and the home. You can ask as many questions as you like. You will be given paperwork to fill out and sign (pet info sheets, vet release form, and legal contract). If I feel that the job is not a good match for me, I will let you know following the consult. This does not happen often for me! The initial consult is FREE, but if your pet is unsure or aggressive, I may need to schedule extra meetings before your departure. The extra consults will be charged. Once the consult is done, I will get key/garage door opener from you and I will start on the date requested. |
